Welcome to the world of h2g2, Researcher 163150, glad you made it.
I have not too much to add, as Seven of Nine told you a lot about the things you might do in our h2g2 universe.
You might want to know that there's a Germania Connection on h2g2. You'll find the start page at http://www.h2g2.com/A478055 . Jump over there and leave a message, if you'd like more contact with German speaking Researchers.
You might also want to change your nickname (Researcher 163150) into something more 'handy'. You'll find a 'preferences' button on any h2g2 page. Press it and follow the instructions.
If you need some guidance on your first steps in our world, just ask one of the Guardian Angels ( http://www.h2g2.com/A467606 ) for help, they'll be glad to help you. You can even ask for a German Speaking GA, there are some (like me).
If you have some technical questions on h2g2, ask the Gurus ( http://www.h2g2.com/Gurus ). They are supposed to be the ones with the deep insight in how h2g2 works. If you want, you can ask for a German speaking Guru, there are some (like me, again).
If you intend to contribute to the Guide, write one or more Entries, you will soon get some attention from the Scouts. The are the ones who work through the Peer Review ( http://www.h2g2.com/peerreview ). This is the place to post an Entry, if you want it to be included in the Edited Guide.
Naturally, all pages and all contents on h2g2 are absolutely public. Everybody is allowed to read everything. The Peer Review is not 'For-Scouts-Only'. Just jump around, from page to page, click on a reseacher's name to jump to her/his personal space, leave a message wherever you want. You'll soon know that all the people on h2g2 are very kind and polite (that's the big difference to most of the USENET).
Have fun, and don't be afraid to call for help if you need it.
