Curious, but not exactly a technique for flying. Better check out Peter J. Carroll's book "Liber Null and the Psychonaut" for techniques on flying (and meditation!), specifically the Aethrics bit in Liber Aum.
This is a relaxation technique. Bit sparse too. Mediation pursued for curiousity and parlor tricks rarely works to one's benifit.

Hi there. I discovered this technique when I was about 10 all by myself. It works, you really imagine to fly. Nothing else is needed. I don't know of any books about this topic as I didn't need any. All I can say is: this is the way to fly.
It is not a relaxation technique, although relaxation is needed to get there. But once you fly, its quite a thrill. And a bit freightening.
The benefit is to fly and learn something more of yourself.
Do you know how to fly?

Hi there.
I'll have to try that one!
Victorian has a point, but you can get around it by changing the title of your entry. Something like "How to fly using meditation" makes it more specific, and you won't get people saying that you didn't go into detail about meditiation in general.

I agree .. or even "Meditative Flying" .. or "Psychic Flying" you created it .. come up for a term!
Style point ... too many headers .. it looks awful in GOO mode ... try some subheaders to maybe.
Good technique though, I will try it .. I am fascinated by the point between sleep and waking

This sounds really cool. I'm going to see if I can get it to work over the weekend. We need more entries like this. I'd love to see somebody do an entry on lucid dreaming...

Thanks for the hint about goo. I'll do it soon! And I'll put in the proof reading things from Trillian's Child. Thanks TC.

I used to do yoga and meditation is a big part of it. I've never tried to 'fly.'
I used to use this technique, to see if I could get to that feeling of weightlessness. It worked sometimes, but most of the time I found that I paid way to much attention to my breathing.
I must try it again.
