One of the great things we get from Nuclear Power stations are the radiation sources used in radiotherapy and for sterilising medical and other equipment. This usually comes in the form of highly irradiated cobalt rods and since none of the UK stations are powerful enough/suitable for producing these we have to import them from Russia.
