Thanks for the message, Jez, sorry to have missed you.
In the past month or so, I've been stalked by a troll who honoured me by setting up an ID for the specific purposes of impersonating me (how cool is that, blush
Now, in the past week, one of the regular bunch decided to specifically throw me off Solly's thread ... so I've walked away and unless I have a change of heart soon, am not tempted to return.
Hope you, J and D are well and that the lacunae are being infilled!

Blast! I missed you... Thanks for the Dunya link all the same!
Next month it'll be a year since I joined the message board. It's been an enriching experience. Got to know a few people, and laughed a lot.
I'm sorry not to have 'seen'(=read) too much of you. I hope you are well. Have you been to Dublin, btw? I remember you talking about it.
My writing is going well. One half of the book is almost done. I'll be soooo glad when I've rid myself of this vampire!
Warm greetings from Delft!
Jez

Happy ML Anniversary, Jez!
Just checked and 15 October was the day you said 'I'm new ...' and I think we both have a year under our respective belts. My ID number dates back to late June and I think I must have posted something in July.
But I was in Ireland for the second half of August and the first week of September, and I do know that I was back in Ireland again in October: I would have been having a lie-in on Sunday 15 October, as we'd had a very long day on the Saturday. IIRC we didn't get back to Cork until the very early hours of the Sunday morning. Anyway, because of developments at the end of March, I didn't need to go back to Dublin in June this year.
I guess there must be only a few lacunae left by now? No? Aaah. Hang in there, you'll be at a loose end and/or have your life back before you know it. What next?
Catch up with you soon, I hope ... warm greetings to all of you in Delft from autumnal Kent!

Hello, KK! Yes, you are right! I have been here one year now... Thanks for reminding me, Goddess of Mustardland (with all the info at Her fingertips)! I bookmarked our historic meeting, when you thought I was female and I thought you were male. Here is the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbarchers/F2693940?thread=3672263&skip=0&show=20 Ah, those were the days... Half of the book is finished now. And I even wrote a very good poem a few days ago. So things are going well. I wish you all the best, KK, from autumnal (but sunny) Delft!

Let's quaff some great champagne together!
It's miserable here at the moment, but - greetings from Delft all the same!

Jez!!!
We're both online, hooray and at last! Belated Christmas wishes to you all, and Happy Birthday to Dunya for Saturday.
Hope you had a good Christmas, and all the best for 2008 from Kent to Delft ... dare one assume that the magnum opus is nearly done, as you're coming up to your first lacunae anniversary?

Hello, KK!
Saturday... Almost right - Sunday! 30 December. Then she'll turn 8. We'll have two celebrations, one on Friday for her friends from school, and one on the day itself for all her nephews and nieces (and aunts and uncles). So we'll be busy (and have been busy preparing)...
I'm halfway through the novel... BUT - I've written 30 poems since October 12th in a great burst of inspiration, which makes me very happy. I want to visit more literary events next year, simply to get my work better known (again, as I have been published; but the last few years I've been soldiering on alone).
Great to have a conversation again!

Oops, sorry to have made Dunya older than she really is, I think we must have started wishing her a happy birthday very late on the 29th, and when it was already 20th in Europe. Never mind, I remembered she just pre-dates the millennium.
My but your muse has found you, or you her, to have such a burst of new material. An excellent way to divert yourself creatively from editing and amending (or infilling!) existing prose. I'm sure you'll be energised and refreshed by the phase. Now you really must persevere with the lacunae - I really must insist - with a revised target date of before Dunya reaches double figures
As ever, good to catch up with you!

"Now you really must persevere with the lacunae - I really must insist - with a revised target date of before Dunya reaches double figures"
You don't know how much I agree with you...
And yes - writing poetry is a great relief to me. There is so much I now feel and think I can't give a place in my novel, because it has found its own form and content during all the years it evolved.
This has been a great year for me, though. Next year will (God and Muse willing) be even greater.
I hope to bump into you, virtually that is, more often in 2008, KK!
Jez
P.S. If you ever want to reach me more directly, simply add @xs4all.nl to yours truly (lower-case j)...

Have nothing interesting or exciting to add at the mo', jez, but I am going to get you into my address book, if I may ...
... here goes, sent at 22:20 GMT
It's June again

Hi Jez!
Drop emailed me last night and asked if I was still in touch with you and Psi ... which reminded me that June is the month.
Happy Birthday, Jez!
<- for Dunya, she can have a sip of cyber fizz
(I'm off the drink at the mo', due to meds, so the celebration is for the three of you)
I'm posting this on Thursday evening in the hope that it reaches you on time but I shall raise a toast to you on Friday 13th
kk ... or, as Drop has taken to calling me, Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu!
It's June again
Jezetha Posted Jun 22, 2008
Hi KK!
Good thing you mailed me personally, otherwise I would have missed the bubbly and Dunya's cyber fizz for more than a week... I hope things have improved or are improving on the medical front. Give my regards to Psi and Drop! We've had some great virtual times in Mustardland!
My social network of choice at the moment, though, is the Good Music Guide Forum, where I have been very active for almost a year now. Classical music is very important to me and being part of a small community of people with similar interests makes my days writing and reading behind the computer less solitary...
All the best, KK! We'll keep in touch.
Jez

This is the first day on which belated birthday wishes could be sent ... and here I am, sending them. I remembered earlier in the week and, as is fairly typical, thought 'I'll remember it' and then remembered too late.
For Jez:
May the year ahead
have more good times
than the past 12 months!
