Nice entry: informative, factual, interesting... but your weakness, is not in your technique

One thing it needs though - URLs! Where are some of these fan sites, is there an official site? Is there a URL for any of the writers, or for the original magazine? Or for the new yorker?

Good suggestions - thanks. I'll dig up some of the URL's for fan sites and add them. I don't think there is an official site, though some of the fan sites come close.
The New Yorker's site wouldn't be much help, though they might (maybe) answer queries at to the date Perelman's review was published.

I like the subject matter, its suitably obscure, but it would be easier to read if you split it up into paragraphs, perhaps with headers.

I stumbeled upon your entry whist reviewing another...

In the late sevventies or early eighties my twin brother and I were huge Capain Future fans. But what we were into was an animation that was shown on German television at the time. I have never met anyone here in the UK who has seen the TV animation or indeed heard of Captain Future. But you may want to look into this if only to widen your knowledge on the subject. I'm sorry I can't give you any exact details about the series because as young kids we were not intersted in these things.

I've just learned the date of the American version of the show and am about to add that and a URL for the best of the fan sites. Stay tuned!

Oh, and the linked URL seems to be in Deutsche only: where's the English version you promised?

This is another fine subject, well handled -- okay, you REALLY need to format the article better just to make it easier to read.

This needs an illustration from one of the covers or something. Unfortunately, that's a big no-can-do these days (but to be fair, when external web pages and sites went away the references would have been broken and how much space can h2g2 devote to storing this stuff.)

(Does anyone as-old-as-dirt, like me, remember a television series,created by Robert Heinlein and friends, called, I think, "Rocky Jones -- Space Ranger" or am I hopelessly mis-remembering? It falls in this same category -- Great but gone.)

Clean this entry up and it will be ready to be edited.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'll check out the URL right away. There used to be a link for the English version right on that page, which is the only way I know to get to it. Back to work now!

Well- the German Captain Future site has been updated considerably, and the links to the English version have vanished. I managed to hunt up the English version homepage, which is badly in need of revision, and have added that URL and one to a fan's page. Of course, when and if the English version gets fixed I may have to revise these links again...I need a drink. (sucks on towel) Aah, much better.

It looks much better since I first looked at it. I noticed one sentence which reads a bit awkwardly.

Edmond Hamilton wrote most of the novels under his own name; late in the magazine's run a pseudonym, Brett Sterling, was adopted as other hands joined Hamilton.

I would suggest changing it to read

or something like that.
