Liars, Thieves and Pickpockets...
Maverick {'Doc, I get a stabbing pain in my eye every time I drink tea.' 'Take the spoon out'.} Started conversation Mar 4, 2019
Thieves take your tangible possessions usually of a substantial value. Pickpockets are more of an opportunist, who take whatever is available for a quick grab. Liars steal your time, energy, emotions, focus and so on, away from you and those you could have better spent that on.
Especially if it is someone you trusted far more than they deserved.

Thirty Six years ago, David looked me in the eye and said 'Get new friends, because if this is what you have as friends now, throw em out.'. He was referencing a note that a 'friend' wrote, as a practical joke.
Since then, I have had thieves as co workers, met two serial killers, and yet the liars have done the most damage.
A bit tired of 'getting new friends'.
