Just thought I'd help out by gathering some stuff on my favorite band. I found a guide entry on the Foo's that was really inaccurate, so I've cited my sources in the entry and added links.

I expect you're talking about MY really inaccurate entry on the Foo-me-do's, which is why I submitted it to be in the edited guide...

You've done a good entry, but I don't think you can stick the discography straight in from tnltl! You might want to make it into guide format, at least (though still say where you got the info from).

Good stuff, keep it up (I was considering writing an actually researched entry on the Foos myself, looks like you've beaten me to it!).

I thought about re-writing it, but then I really didn't have a right to simple edit something someone else did and take credit as if it was wholly mine. So I took it the way it was from tnltl.com, added a link and citation. I did add the part about Chris becoming a full fledged member because I saw it in person last week. As for this discog from foofighters.com, it's the same idea as the bio. I could revamp it and take credit or I could put there as it officially exists.

I wouldn't mind incorporating stuff into your listing and making a better single foo entry instead of two conflicting ones. I'll add a few comments to yours, but don't take them as criticism. We're all on the same team.

Oh, I don't take any of it personally - we're all, as you say, on the same team. I actually realised I made a typo in my posting above - I meant to say that's why I DIDN'T sumbit it to be part of the edited guide!

I must, however, offer a word of caution about changing an article from tnltl and plonking it on here... although you have made your own input and added links, as you say, and you're totally honest about it, I think h2g2 might be rather worried about copywright issuses - it's something of a hot topic at present.

If I were you I'd completely re-write the whole thing, in your own style, and using GuideML, and offer the tnltl and foofighters.com links as places to get more information - and that way you're really crediting yourself with your own work.
