in a small and strange way this man had a huge effect<?> on modern fiction and prevelance of british wit on international level.
he brought british writing into a visual yet metaphysical territory hitherto the grounds of obscure or critically revered authors. but again it wasn't here where he triumphed but his humanity and knowing glow and obsession for the human condition, which within his fantastic terms, he poked and prodded with an irrevereance that belied his awe and respect. in his works of fantasy and satire, this view of humanity was always balanced with a somewhat more predominant
saracstic maladie, verily at odds with his sympathies but in touch with the world around him and its turmoils.
in this way, he brought british fiction into the cinema and computer media age.
he predicted wap internet. was to start to evolutionise the info consumer end of the internet on an individual hend held level.
he enlightened non sci fi readers to newer things.
his death seems sudden and untimely.
i would like to think that it was because it always felt like his greatest work was yet to come. But instead we are left with a legacy of genius that would be the envy of many so-called luminaries. We are duty bound as spectators and creators alike to honour Mr. Adams and his work in our own way with the things we do and the things that his work have inspired us to do.
thank you mr. adams.

I did not hear the news until today, and I am greatly saddened. I am also curious if the movie will still get made? But I can not simply type my feelings but I would rather sculpt them out.

I think it would be a shame if someone else finished the movie without his input etc. Don't you agree? It wouldn't seem fair somehow to him when he can't see the finished result and quite frankly I would rather stick to my own pictures in my head than see new ones on a screen. Fair enough?

I recently picked up the last Guide book - what a pleasure to revisit the writing style of Mr. Adams, and no, it is never enough.
He was always able to transport us into a realm of surprise and wonder.
Our loss here is beyond words.

Hi Dave,
I'm fine, a little wet due to rain but otherwise quite well. How are you? This seems a little off topic so where would be a more appropriate spot for a chat on this site? I'm new here and haven't got the hang of navigating it yet.
