h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Just a short one today because time is short.

1. As mentioned in my journal 18a, I have been hacked and can't concentrate on anything much till I've got it all sorted. But when do you have it all sorted? If I ever get my laptop going again, change the protection software, change all my passwords, and delete all the cookies, I still won't feel really safe. Which I suppose is how you should feel.

2. I did the cooking today. Very German. Saumagen (local speciality - don't ask), Bratkartoffeln - like fried potatoes only they're boiled a little first. And cabbage - just ornry cabbage - normally it should be sauerkraut, but one girl mentioned that she wasn't keen on that. So that took up some time before work (peeling, chopping and parboiling the spuds), but as I didn't feel like eating, I skipped breakfast and saved time there. And it took a little time to prepare before lunch here at work, too.

3. I had a dentist appointment (just a check-up) and because of the computer hassle, I popped into the bank on the way. All of which took about 30 mins.

4. The girl I work with is ill. So that means I have to do her work as well today.

5. I have to leave early because I have piano and organ lessons at a quarter to five this evening.
