17 November
No events (at least, not that I'm aware of)
Weather. Very cold
My youngest was on the television the other day. He texted me at about 4.30 to tell me to watch a popular political discussion programme, I might see him. So we watched it, and recorded it. Unfortunately it wasn't on a political subject, which would have made it all the more interesting for him and his fellow students in the audience, but it was about "Burnout". Shame really, with all the breaking news about the radical right wing attacks in the German news at the moment, it should really have been a very political programme. Anyway, of course, the only time the camera was on him, he happened to be talking to his neighbour (cracking jokes by the look of it.) He is quite telegenic.
Being able to pop out to a live TV show for the evening is one of the advantages of living in the capital. And it costs nothing and it's probably quite warm in the studio.
And this weekend, either by coincidence or luck, my two youngest will be coming home. So I called the eldest and asked him if he would be over, too. We should be able to get together for breakfast on Sunday morning.
Tonight I'm going to see a play. So that'll give me something to talk about in tomorrow's journal.

It's called "When the Rain Stops Falling". Haven't looked it up or anything.

Did you rewind the TV to take a picture of him? My son did that when he spotted his son in the crowd at the Ireland-Estonia soccer match.

No - I didn't think of doing that. I'll look up how to do it at the weekend.

If you're on cable TV, your zapper should have a rewind button just like a VCR.
