So am I chaotic? Or just too busy? Or lazy?
Anyway, I did consider going to the January meet, but somehow it's nearly here and I didn't do anything about it. Money is always tight, of course, but if I'd made a move in November, I could have flown for 19 Euros.
We have a date singing with the choir on 11 Jan which will be nice, but I have sung so much lately, I could miss one gig. Except the priest who's invited us to sing Mass for him that morning is cooking for us too and that's a treat not to be missed.
Oh, yes, I can always find excuses, but I'm still really sorry I'm not going to be there.
However, I really must come over in the summer - my parents celebrate their Diamond Wedding in June, and we are trying to get something organised.
Hmm I wonder...

how do you find flights for 19 euros?
I'm trying to get a flight from Düsseldorf (or close by) to Liverpool (or close by, Manchester for eg) but have no idea how.
As for the meet: we're going to meet up this year. We are. And that makes it at least a mini-meet

Ryanair from Hahn. But yes yes yes we SHALL see each other. Where was the geographical middle again? Although being at someone's house is nice, too. I'll bring one of my boys to babysit and we'll paint the town red. Or if you came here and had to bring them, we've got a big garden to play in and a lake 3 minutes away for a lovely summer afternoon.

well, if we can do it at a weekend and you don't mind, we'll come to you.
you wouldn't need a very big tin of Dulux to paint our town red!

So, you're not coming to the winter meet, TC? I well remember meeting you at - was it the summer one when Bossel and I went hunting for you?

Yes - I was a bit dim interpreting Bossel's directions and missed the whole of the soft ball game! But the rest of the day was fantastic and I am so pleased I met everyone.
And some I met for the second time, having seen them in the Brit-Eng-Thread meet two years before that (Phil and Munchkin). Manolan and Potholer were also at that meet, but I haven't seen them since. Also Nikki-D, I would really like to know what happened to her.
At that summer meet, too, I was particularly pleased to meet Mycroft, big Mad Mr T and Smiley Ben. Mycroft has since disappeared completely, hasn't he? And Smiley Ben, too, which is a shame.
Either way, every meet is memorable and I can't wait to see the photos!
