I agree. Never could get into DS9, although I might have been able to, if the show had begun as well as it ended.
The original series had WAY too much Kirk. The 'T' seemed to stand for 'Aren'T I greaT?'
And Next Gen was quite enjoyable. It didn't suck me in as much as Voyager, tho. Probably because it didn't have the same mix of touchy-feely and warring against enemies that Voyager does.
