I just watched "Pretty in Pink" for the first time in 10 possibly 15 years and ..........OH MY GOD!!!.........do you think its any good just pretending that the whole decade ( aside from the music ) didn't happen??
Just for the record I emphaticaly deny ever owning a pair of tukker boots or a 4 inch wide elastic belt with a butterfly clip no matter what anyone might tell u!!!
Bad Taste
phw Posted Oct 7, 2000
Well, I use to pretend, that nothing ever happens. Works for me.
OK, kind of works...
All right, it doesn't work, damn.

never mind hun, maybe if we all try hard enuff it'll all work out and the whole thing will turn out to be a bad dream. It can't be any worse than the 24 hour changing rooms marathon.................... i can't tear myself................ away my brain is melting............

i don't know how much of a hangover you can get from small confections of the kipling variety!!
Bad Taste
lulu Posted Oct 8, 2000
can u give yourself cyanide poisoning from too much marzipan??
Its either that or the bottle and a half of wine
Bad Taste
phw Posted Oct 9, 2000
Oh, marzipan is a dangerous thing.
But you are right, the bottle of wine could have something to do with it either
I have examined the toxical effect of beer drunken at half light speed yesterday.
I found the following formula:
H = b^2 * d
Hangover bill drinking speed
Strangely, my studies suggest, that there is no correlation between the hangover and the actual amount of whatever you drank.
Further inquiries are pursued with great determination.

That 'll account for the yellow tinged skin, blood shot eyes and Father Jack-ish overtones
I've always found that vodka and red bull is a good one
You end up so spaced on red bull that you don't have time for a hangover
It also has the strange effect of making me clean things ( probably why I'm always considered a good house party guest, I can do wonders in a kitchen with a couple of cans and a sqeegy mop!!!)

phw Posted Oct 9, 2000
Want to come for a drink?
It's all there, cans, mops. You can please yourself anytime you like
Infinite amounts of vodka and red bull will be supplied, of course

Hmmm lets see ??
Actually I've got the dreaded lurgi at the mo
so prolly best not
when I'm better............maybe
R u scared now ????
Bad Taste
phw Posted Oct 10, 2000
Well, no.
I don't dread no lurgi.
In fact I dont't have the faintest idea what lurgi are (it's pl. isn't it)
*kicks his dictionary against the wall*
*doesn't give up and explores the Web*
Aha, some kind of worm, right?
So you have worms... very well, very well.
*is not scared, but astonished, definitely astonished*
btw, what means Father Jack-ish?

ok, but it was funny.
I come from Austria. (No I didn't vote for HIM, don't you even think about asking me...)
I can work out things like prolly and at the mo, but lurgi was too much. I thought it was the plural of lurg, which seems to be some kind of worm.
Hell, live here can be difficult
The problem is, that there are lots of words, you just cannot look up. (i.e. I cannot find them anywhere)
But then this here is a good place to learn slang...
Bad Taste
lulu Posted Oct 10, 2000
God don't even learn from my slang
I come from English parents and now live there but,
I was born in papua new guinea
have lived in most of the med.and germany and most of england aswell
(my dad was a padre in the R.A.F )
So you can guess that my use of english generally is somewhat ecletic (hence the fact that I can't spell) and my slang in particular is somewhat unique
Having said that if u can understand me u can prolly understand anyone in england!!
I'm glad we cleared up the worm thing tho
Its not the sort of thing I'd normally admit to in public
I'm also suprised (now) that u got the red bull thing I'd have thought it'd have been called something different in Austria
Btw vote for who, even tho I'm studying politics ( I hate it ) I have no idea what u r on about ???

I've just realise reading some others how boring my entries r becoming
so........try this one on for size
" If the circle doesn't fit its little square it bulges with oppurtunities "
One of my all time favourites
If you can name the source not only will I be flabberghasted ( not slang just v.v.old saying) but you could possibly win a prize for being the only person outside england who remembers them
( that's a clue btw )
see you on the up cycle
gtg i need my beauty sleep and my cat's got the rips and is tearing the house up so I need to arm myself with a broom
Must lay off that marzipan

why do you think that your entries become boring?
anyway, I have absolutely no idea , where this sentence comes from (but I knew flabberghasted )
About Austria: come on now, there is all of the EU almost banishing Austria because our most stupid people have voted some neo-fascist party into government and you've heard nothing about HIM?? Haider? You must have heard this name, all the papers were full with him (even the English ones, as far as I remember) He is definitely one of the leading figures in Europe's far-right parties. He is, what Le Pen is dreaming of.
But let's not talk about politics, at least not Austrian politics, it makes me sick. I'm a lefty, as you probably guessed by now.
*Don't* call yourself 'rather elderly', I'm serious about it. I'm 27 and it's strange enough. (I never got the hang of being adult, I'll probably just skip this part of life )
good night... dammit, well morning as it is
Bad Taste
lulu Posted Oct 11, 2000
I am elderly
I had a horrible wake in the middle of the night moment
I suddenly realised that it ws only 4 years till I turn 30 ( much panicing ensued )
I think it comes from spending half my day at a college with horrible little school leavers eeuugh
They'd make anyone feel elderly
I didn't know bout the facists but doesn't it scare u
I too am some what to the left but I hate party poliltics my family en mass tend to take the radical line
I guess you'd call us activists
Excuse the quote I was a bit drunk ( as If you couldn't guess )
Its from a song by The Wonderstuff called circlesquare reccomended listening if u can get hold of it
They're my alltime favourites

OK, look. What's that?
I'm a nice guy. Well no, but I could be. My days are gloomy enough these days (they always are in autumn). And here you come, one year younger'n me - practically a child, really - and say you'd be elderly.
*takes a stick and hits lulu over the head, but in a friendly way*
There.
Hmmm. Wonderstuff, Wonderstuff. I can remember the name, but don't know anything about them...
I can't stand parties either. I'm not an activist, though. I don't believe, that people could possibly make the world a better place, because it's the people, who make it a bad one. This sounds rather negative, I know, but if you had lived here for the last ten years, you'd understand.
*examines the grammar of the above sentence but can't be bothered to think about conditional clauses right now...*
I understand your feelings about these kids at university. They make me feel old, too. But they make me also feel intelligent. This is not really the right word here, but I don't know any better. I mean most of them just do what they're told. They learn what the prof says, read the books, they are given and so on. They are so damn *straight* (again, I might miss the exact meaning, but I thing you can guess)
Never really think about anything independently.
*gets a bit excited*
Hmmm...circlesquare, sounds interesting. I'll have a look on the web... seems to be good enough to keep me from doing anything important
