I swear to god, just when you think you have heard it all, a new level of idiocty enters your life.
According to my flatmate, it's ok that dropping pills make you non-verbally communicative because it 'takes you to another level'. Like, maaaaan.
Presumably a level where getting out of bed before 4.30 pm is the norm.
F**k-wit.

Did your flat mate sleep through the last four decades... sounds like he just escaped from Woodstock!

I wouldn't mind but his recent dabbling with class A narcotics comes after thirty six years of refusing to take anadins because 'I don't do drugs of any kind.'.
It just beggars belief. It really does.

Christ no, she probably still thinks that a toke kills. This is a different disease with a different root cause.
Called being a spanner with no will power.

Well, that much is true, yes, though it does make it somewhat difficult to have any sort of meaningful dialogue about the future of the place we live, etc...

Don't forget that his mantra was 'I don't do *chemical* drugs. Thus allowing him to smoke what he damn well felt like. Also remember that this is the man who, when I was expressing my deep unhappiness about my son being on Ritalin because of the side effects and general misery of it all, threw in my face that he 'doesn't do chemical drugs'. Making it seem not only as if I was giving my son this rather dangerous drug 'for fun', but also that he was somehow 'better' than an 8 year old because he 'doesn't do chemical drugs' (the implication being that my son 'does'). I cannot express my loathing for this man enough.
Anyway, enough about me. I take it that the time you took to have a conversation about the housing situation fell on deaf ears?

Fell on sleeping ears on Monday - was just about to do the talking thing and a rather large Wattie arrived to interrupt the situation.
Yesterday he got up at half past four and then spent the rest of the day with the door to his room firmly closed. If I didn't know better i'd say he was trying to avoid me.
Oh well, tonights the night - before the Tour Highglights and ER...watch this space for developments.

Typical. I wish you luck. Maybe a letter... what am I saying? Maybe an email.
Something along the lines of : If you don't make an effort to talk to me soon, please don't be surprised when prospective buyers want to have a look round the house.

Thanks for the though, makes me feel better.

So when he said 'another level', he wasn't talking about the crap early naughties R&B 'boy' band with token fat member, Dane Bowers?

Well, I'm gonna regard that as a score draw. My moving out isn't going to be a problem for him as he stil has at least two people who are prepared to rent my room (wouldn't be my ideal soulution but it's time for me to think about me and not other people for a bit.)
On the other hand, getting out of the mortgage is a no goer for the forseable. To be honest that comes as no surprise and good my ayet come out of that.
