This is an article taken directly from real life - my own recent bathroom renovation that had to be done on a strict budget. We had lots of ideas, but in the end the cheapest ones won out, so I have collated the best ideas we used to renovate our daggy bathroom to come up with a big impact.

I'd like feedback on getting this entry into the edited Guide, as I feel DIY is a great community topic, with real-life application.

I like this article rather a lot, and I think you've taken the 'from real life' aspect in just the right way to make it readily useful to just about anyone who's interested in renovating their bathroom.

The only thing I can see that needs to be done, apart from editing which would probably inflict a few changes that you could discuss with the relevant sub, is to alter the title to make it 'findable'. Remember that the index to the 'Guide is alphabetically ordered, and the most straightforward way to find something on bathrooms is to look under 'bathroom'. From this angle I'd suggest calling it something like 'Bathroom renovation - how to do it cheaply', or some such generalisation of what's already there. There are a lot of titles already in the index which are difficult to find because of such problems, and although it's a personal preference, I would like the 'Guide to be useful...

Thanks for the input - as a journo in a past life, I was always told to write the article first, then think up the headline! I obviously committed my number one sin as a journo - left off the headline brainstorming thingie as per usual
