Happy belated birthday!

Thank you all very much. At work I did the hot apple juice lark again - had to wait a bit till Ramadan was over to accommodate our Turkish colleagues, and celebrated on Thursday. At home we haven't had time to celebrate properly yet - in the meantime Son No. 2 has had his 20th birthday and the kids had a rave-up in our (still not finished) lounge last night.

They were very quiet though - we went out for a meal to get away from it and then came back and although I intended to go straight to bed - was shattered from working 20 hours a day all week - I ended up practising an advent carol with 2 of them in Martin's bedroom because they had to sing it in Church this morning. (The boy who was singing with us couldn't get it right and this morning in Church he didn't get it right either but it was jolly good anyway - he was in harmony, but not the right harmony.)

Well perhaps the party wasn't terribly quiet - they were talking more than listening to music though and the mess has been cleared up already and I was so tired I slept through it all. Some girls who I found in sleeping bags this morning said they had got to sleep at 6 o'clock and gone to bed at 4.30 -

I don't think my party will be like that, but I doubt if I'll have one this year.
