Was very tempted to post a poem on the poetrycorner this week, but bottled out very quickly - realised after scanning around that I no longer have the confidence to want to put my poetry on display and certain characters on there are still the bullies they will always be. I do miss the really great people there - and it was nice to read some of the poetry from writers that I have always admired - Pip and Jon Kopek for starters - although I notice that a lot of writers whose work I admired have left. A lot of people on there who I don't know - and a curious shyness overtakes me to really venture any further than one toe in that particular pond again. Perhaps I'll feel differently one day - but with homelife still being fairly chaotic, although a lot better than it was - as my son is now making a wonderful recovery - and my new position as head registrar really getting busy - I find I am becoming more distant from writing.
I am still writing - not a lot I have to say. I think these days I have got a lot more discerning over what I write and probably discard the majority of it.
I think poetrycorner is a bit like jumping out of a plane. I remember when I went skydiving, afterwards the instructor (really yummy chap) asked me how I had enjoyed it. I replied that it had been the most fantastic thing I'd ever done and would love to go up again and jump. He turned to me and said 'Then do it in no less than a month, otherwise you'll lose the confidence and fear will set in.' He was totally correct - I couldn't jump out of a plane again - just glad that I did once, and have the photos and the memory of it - to make me look back and smile.

Apparently I can't remove my own journal ?????????
Made a mistake last night, posted a poem and so regret it
Want to cut and run, run and cut
God I am so stupid as to think vindictive people would grow out of petty vendetta's
Can't obviously erase any of this
have to run, son is calling
he had a relapse last night after doing too much
and needs his mother

Dear Emma, hope you don't mind my dropping in on you again.
I was glad to read your son was recovering and then straight away I read he is relapsing. So I do hope that was temporary and things are better.
Hope all else is well with you. Stuff Poetry Bloody Corner and never take it seriously!
I am here to ask a favour. Someone has approached me through another area on the net, claiming to be WordPlayer. I have actually been out there looking for her. This person has approached me under her "real name" - quite different from the real name I believe she once gave me. She says she is in touch with you. I am simply asking you if you might let me know some time whether this really is Wordplayer or not.
Sorry to trouble you. Like I said before, you were one of the people I enjoyed knowing on Poetry Bloody Corner and you write some lovely things.
Take Care
Hope all is well
Won't be offended if you don't reply

Hi Fred
Don't worry, I'm resilient as regards poetrycorner - more angry with myself for going there - that place sort of suckers you in before you know where you are. Soon realised what a mistake - I can't stand the multi id's there - so I'm out of there lol. A little bruised but probably (I hope) wiser .
My son is a lot better, but tends to overdo things still - he's still not fully aware that he needs to be careful, and having always been an active boy - does not like limitations - but he is on the mend and doing well - thank you so much for your concern and for your prayers, I am sure they helped.
I hope now you have your riddle solved and I am glad as I never wanted to say much here

Thanks Fred Hope the book is going well for you - I keep saying to myself, 'One day, one day' lol, but suspect I am too lazy.
