I can't say that I'm *totally* free of aches and pains when I wake up, but the ones I have are usually minor enough that I've forgotten about them by the time I've finished guzzling , accompnied by a tasty breakfast. An underappreciated benefit from having lived a while is that you've perfected the art of making the ordinary parts of your life into something to celebrate.

Unfortunately, all too many people have gotten too exhausted from life's trials and tribulations to savor the small pleasures in life. A year or two of retirement might let them recharge their batteries, though.

The waking free of aches and pains went somewhere about 25 years or so ago. So if you can do it easily, then all the better to you!
