Had a worrying moment there yesterday. I've a links page which has links to all the pages I'm working on. It's got about 30 useful links, plus links to 180 old empty entries which I intend to recycle.
I made the mistake of editing this with the Pliny Editor, and it stripped all the links out and put them near the start of the entry, leaving the text of the links where it was, so the links all stopped working. It took me about an hour's work to get it all back to the way it should have been.
The moral of the story: never, ever, edit an entry using the Pliny editor.

I have also learned this, with a little less hardship.
I don't suppose they'd add "and don't edit in Pliny" to the "Don't Panic" button. No.
