Maybe I looked at it in a different way...

The two things that really struck me were the sheer quantity of water being dispensed by the taps... the maths on the sheer quantity of water being drawn from the taps and the declared flow rate of the spring didn't add up... By a hell of a long way.

Then there were the candles... A massive queue of people waiting patiently in line to light a candle to their loved ones... They queue up, purchase a candle, walk along then hand it to a gentleman in white robes who is then responsible for lighting it for them and placing it on a stand... The only problem is that he doesn't have the physical space to light all the candles as they are handed to him, so he lays them to one side until a burning candle goes out, then he replaces it with one from his stack... Trouble with that is the stack just keeps getting bigger and bigger as they sell more candles than they could ever actually burn given the facilities available (even if they actually manned the place 24 hours a day they'd never have enough space and time to burn all the candles that are purchased)... I wonder where all the excess candles go... The cynic in me says they end up being sold again the next day.
