I've just booked a weekend in Italy in March with Mrs G and my friend P. P has a house in a mountain village where we can stay.
When he bought the house, nobody knew what the street number was, as the village was so small that nobody used them. Some research eventually uncovered the fact that it was number 42. Here's a photo of the house number.

Shows the Italian priorities: a church and a restaurant, but no shop.
In the old days in Ireland a tiny village would have a church and five pubs, but no shop.

It's this Friday we're going. Really looking forward to it now. You've actually all seen part of the house we'll be staying in:

Last time I was there, the restaurant in the nearest city, Sarzana, served up a very nice rabbit stew, which you don't ever get here in Ireland.
