I'll make a guess about why he's searching randomly. Is it because edited entries aren't neatly sorted? It would be a breeze if there were a sequential list of entries but an overwhelming number of A numbers are generated compared to a very limited few that are assigned to edited entries. It would be great if we had some way to sort edited entries. I don't even know of a way to look up entries by date. It may seem like an obvious oversight, but I'm sure that it's much more complicated. I had to dabble with a database once. (I was trying to reconcile three unique and conflicting sets of NASA numbers for a few thousand space shuttle flight images listed on two sets of photocopies.) I learned quite quickly that if items aren't indexed properly when they're created it can be very difficult to do so later.
Anyway, that's just some things that came to mind.

dodgy characters which don't display properly on some browsers, such as £, ° and é.
They look dodgy all right(Firefox)

Those were £, dash and é as far as I remember, but I posted them in Firefox which often messes up the extended characters.
I'm searching randomly because Pastey's tool for returning just the text of an entry only does it for a random entry.

You can't make it ignore places you've been to?

No. I'm hoping Pastey will eventually write one that just goes to a particular entry. I have a list of all the Edited Entries.
