You coming to the London Meet in January?
Ever been to one of these shindigs before?
Wanting to know your stance as I am considering going and want to know what its like from a man who doesn't mince words.

I won't be going in January, but that's a personal thing rather than a reflection on meets.

I can be persuaded to be in London almost anytime by the promise of a pint and a bit of lively banter, as can my wife. 
I live about 25 minutes from Liverpool Street. I know oplenty of 'interesting' (note I don't use the term 'good') boozers in and around town as well.

I work 15 mins from Liverpool Street and live out near Hackney...horrible place but I'm still a new guy down here so will probably find somewhere better at some point.
I'd love to find some new and interesting boozers. I don't know many at the moment. I only go into the cheap buggers!

Try the Dolphin in Mare St, Hackney. But try it before it gets taken over by the Bangra Boys at about 10.30 every night.

Oh, another good Hackney pub is the 'Pub on the Park'. Good range of 'exotic' lagers and in the summer you can have a plastic glass and sit in the Park itself. Very civilized, if very busy.
