The Pink Dandelion (Taraxacum non-officinale) - Keeper of the Shrubbery Started conversation Nov 23, 2000
Hello everybody - I desperately want to go carol singing this year. Anyone know of a good public sing happening in London? If so, details please. Ditto Colchester (though that's less likely, I should imagine...)
Or if anyone has a carolling group and wants an extra enthusiastic alto/second soprano, you'd be on my christmas card list!
Feeling festive...

We surely could use an extra 2nd soprano on December 16th, but it's in Copenhagen, Denmark. Too far away for you, I'm afraid...

I wish we had carol singing in Germany. We are doing an "Adventssingen" on 17 December and are singing Midnight Mass, which is all very jolly. We are working on a jazzy version of "Winter Wonderland". It's starting to sound good. Fortunately, two years ago we added a German version of "Hark the herald" and of "The first Noel" into our Christmas repertoire. At last it's Christmas here, too.

I'm not sure if you would call the thing we do carol singing...
We usually sing carols and Danish 'traditionals' in the streets of Copenhagen one Saturday in December, but this year we are hired to sing in a new shopping center instead. It's a terrible place, but we sure can use the money!
This night was really nice and fun for me. Two years ago I wrote an arrangement of White Christmas (SSATBB with sugar and cream ), but noone ever has been singing it until now. So I haven't known before if it could be sung at all. It could, and it is wonderful!!! LOL! Lots of 'much too much' details! (Thanks, Bing)

Are you prepared to put your arrangement at the rest of the Choral Society's disposal?
(if necessary as a jpg or gif for those without a music programme)

If only I had a music notation program or a scanner...
(once again complaining about my no good soft- and hardware! )
And doing all of it in your notation from the smiley-thread would be too hard...
