We've lost the satellite link now, so no encore, I'm afraid. Look out for future versions on my website - for link see my page.

p.s. I'd love to know what it was that caused the moderators to refer upwards three parts of the performance (did they think the piano parts were a foreign language?). Thanks, Mods, for giving them the smiley - ok

Hæ DUOTWR,
I'm happy to squeeze up a bit to make room for another bass, but it's not up to me, I'm new to the Choral Society myself. You need to speak to TC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U154942) or Ottox (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U150740). Have your audition piece ready.
I see you like The Beatles: you may wish to say hello to R@ty (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U165344), as he does too. He might be able to do a piano accompaniment.

Bigalibi (Muse of Antiquated Swimming Strokes & MuG)

Hi, T.C., I would like to audition for the h2g2 choral society.
Credentials:- church choir for 25 years, boy treble to basso profundo with all stops in between (only two weeks as alto en route to tenor).
Have sung in several school choirs (many years ago) and have been a member of two operatic societies.
Audition pieces:- (1) Stainer's Crucifixion, any of the
Principal Bass solo parts
(2) The Nightmare song from Iolanthe

(3) Tchaikovsky's Legend (The Crown of Thorns),
2nd bass part.
Or any other piece of your choice.
I anticipate your response

Ottox

Hi DUOTWR and Bigalibi!
Welcome to the choir, I'm glad to see you.
You can sing any piece you like for the audition! To be honest I'll put your names on the list even if you don't sing at all, but it would be nice to hear your ...hmmm... voice! smiley - winkeye

Well, I think a bit of Stainer's Crucifixion would be lovely, and appropriate for the season. How's the bass line going to sound on its own, though? I'd offer to supply the tenor part, but I'm afraid I am not familiar with it.

Never mind, Þing, you can sing it from sight. I haven't sung it b4, either, but, hell, my mother even sang it at school, and she can't read music to this day.

A bass soloist - hmmm nice!

Phey, sorry I've been a long time

*Looks at watch and gasps*
Oooh, I've been a very long time - 8 months. I must have dropped off
I hope you remember ThingKCP's audition when I played the piano. I wonder if you need an accompanist for the choir. You'd have to make a new column on the list of members or something, but I'd love to play for you.
I also sing tenor, so when you don't need accompaniment I'll boost the tenor section a bit.

Look forward to your reply
*Turns towards door and then stops suddenly*

Oh, by the way. ThingKCP isn't on the list. I believe he is a member now - you must have forgotten to put him there.

I'll just go and organize my music.
