So you're like a counselor? Does this place have anything to do with Douglas Adams or is the name just a name (for name's sake)- thanks for the fish by the way

h2g2 is Douglas's own company- well, he was one of the founder members... his userpage is here: http://www.h2g2.com/U42 ...but he doesn't post much
The Aces (Assistant Community Editors) are the official meeters and greeters of h2g2- while the in house team would like to visit every new person who comes to the site, there are too few of them, and too many new people for that to be practical, so they hire (well, on a voluntary basis) researchers who like meeting new people to be the 'official' welcoming committee.. it could seem like we only welcome new people because we have to, but we don't, almost everyone who volunteers to be an ace does it because they would do it anyway...
