Golf is also known to be a waste of a good walk..... especially for those "poor" experts currently struggling around Carnoustie. Personally, I think it's nice to see how the experts cope, (or not), on courses similar to the ones I have the dubious pleasures of frequenting on an occasional Saturday. If nothing else, it makes for gtreat TV.
