The Corrupt One

The highlight of my day was getting hauled into the vice principal's office for no reason at all... besides the school's utter ineptitude in communicating with its students... smiley - smiley

I'm still not looking forward to the conference I must attend in a few minutes, here. Especially since my English teacher won't be attending...

No reason at all??

And what is the purpose of a conference if the teacher of the class you're failing isn't present?

Well, some reason, but not a good one. Like I said, they had failed to communicate with me properly. Which almost meant that I'd be screwed out of prom. But it was just silly nonsense.

Apparently my English teacher called and had a nice long chat with mom before school yesterday... and even told on my boyfriend's equally bad (if not worse) work habits... smiley - winkeye

The conference went EXACTLY as I thought it would. The counselor watches the teachers break me down, helps a little, then they all try to build me back up again with almost zero sum effect on mom. Rather annoying and useless, but at least she isn't bothering me so much about homework...

Speaking of de ja vu, you know my parents wouldn't let me get student loans either? (Mainly because they needed a new car, but that's besides). And I wanted to go to UCR? And I wanted to major in Creative Writing? Community College ain't so bad. It's like high school, and it's easier, and the classes count the same. But, anyway, there's a lot more about my UCR situation than you know, but I don't say. I don't believe in sulking, and you can't change the past. I remember someone saying that I was stupid for not going to UCR, and I remember saying it was complicated...wonder if that person believes me now?

Anyway, if it's that bad, go get a job and live with Grandma. Or do something to assert your independence, because my dear, in less than six months, you will be legal, and they need to treat you like it now. Trust me, when you turn 18, and they still act like your twelve, it has reprocutions. And I don't even remember what I was saying, so yeah, think about this. If I've made any sense or good points at all...and stuff.

Your suggesting that she simply... disappear when she's 18? Daaamn, as if this situation was depressing enough.

Speaking of expletives not allowed in the moderated H2G2, your education or a new car. That's simply... well... mustn't curse...

Disappear? Yeah right. My mother would hunt me down with a pick-axe... smiley - winkeye

And my dear "older" cousin girl, not only do I not act twelve but in fact I am very determined to go to UCR *this year*... unlike you. I may be somewhat immature, but at least I can admit it, although not half as immature as my parents seem to think...

Whatever happens, happens. I'll be damned if it's going to happen without my interference, though...
