Hello Cornel.

A Celt!!

I would love a new "chat" friend! Thank you for leaving a message. What a surprise.

Yes, I adore poetry. It just gushes from me! My home groans under the weight of old poetry books. Many belonged to my dear father. I treasure them all.

No- I am quite uninterested in fashionable kitsch stuff. Call me an incurable romantic but I can't get enough of Swinburne, Rossetti(s), Arnold, Patmore, Browning(I have been truly pilloried on the MB's because of my love of his poetry!)...

Sorry I can't write more at the moment but I am expecting a visitor.

Let me know what poets you enjoy.

Carole

Hy,celtic carole.everything's celtic around me tonight, lorena mckennitt, with her songs coming from a lost world.and suddenly this livid figure flashes in my head.lying on the stonehenge table, waiting for the final blow. hear the wind in my head, her icy hands, death smell...
I see myself a student,in my poorly furnished room,on winter nights, freezing to death, reading by the candle light.no,not reading, feeling with all my senses.I did met cathy and heathcliff and sailed with captain ahab and fought the big fish in old santiago's boat.I'm not joking.I was with all these 'fellers'and had a GREAT time.I thank them all from all my heart.and you. good night, celtic girl
wherever you may be.

Hello Cornel,

I must tell you about one of my romantic dreams-I have always wanted to live in a garret in Paris. I would have all my artistic friends there smiley - artist-the painters, poets, and musicians. We would drink cheap wine, wear the most flamboyant clothing, and talk all night smiley - planet.

The problem, though, is that we would probably be penniless, and therefore the tiny attic would be cold. Yes, we would be reading and writing by the light of candles! And our hands would be icy!!smiley - snowballsmiley - llabwons

But it is a romantic idyll to me...the kind of place where Browning, Keats, and Swinburne would have been most welcome!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and are keeping warm!smiley - smiley
