I have something of a dilemma that you may be able to help me with (and save me looking like a bit of an idiot in the process!).

I was asked by Toby of WoM to contact the programme re my competition entries - details on the website. When I rang the telephone no. on there, I was told it was for making comments about BBC programmes, they couldn't give me any info. on how to contact the programme direct. Then I tried the e-mail address but I have received an automated response that they can't reply to e-mails personally.

I seem to remember you saying that they contacted you 2 or 3 times to get you to record something for them (and I'll never forgive them for not using it!!) - but do you have any idea how I can get in touch with them or find out the REAL telephone number for R4?

Hi Mimi! What a surprise to see this message pop up in my Discussions! Looks as though they've messed up their email system as I was emailed so I replied to it. If Toby contacted you initially on the WOM board I would start a new thread asking him for a way to contact him explaining that you've tried to no avail. I've seen threads in the past from posters who've not been able to get through - though that was a while ago. Don't worry, I'm sure you won't look like an idiot.
Looking forward to hearing you on air though I haven't heard WOM for ages so you'll have to let us all know when to listen out for you. I'd forgotten about mine that ended up on the cutting-room floor! But he did read out my silly hedgehog joke about bouncy castles in that Simile competition so I was content with that!

Thanks, MJ. I have since found out the no. for the Duty Desk at the Beeb, so I will give them a ring on Monday - I am sure they will be more helpful. New series of WoM starts on Monday 9th April.
