h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I hate that she's far away from me.
I hate not being able to talk to her.
I hate that I can't get there, right now.
I hate that we are 2000 miles apart.
I hate that she can't tell me about her day, tell me what's good, bad, indifferent, ugly, anything.
I hate that we can't drop everything and just...go do something. Anything. Simply because we can.
I hate that this is taking so long.



But I love her.



Does it make everything else worth it? All the difficulty, all the grumpiness, all the wasted time, energy, money and emotion?




Of course it does.

Know what Andy said last night? I told him I needed to put my laundry in the dryer, and could I call him back (it was about 1:30am his time) and he said, "Woman! You rule my world! You can call me whenever you want!"

That made me feel really good.

That and when he said, "You know, I have lots of Frank Sanatra records." and I said, "Mmmhmm." and he said, "I'll make you a deal. If you come and live with me and love me forever, I'll let you listen to 'em." So we made a deal.

So many times I wish I could freeze a moment with him. So many things he says are so special... even the normal-sounding parts...

*walks around glowing* Even all the heartache is SO worth it.

This sucks, though, you know that?

But it sucks in the BEST possible way, so it really doesn't suck at all.

I know exactly how you feel. I spend all my time oscellating between being elated and maniacally depressed. *sigh* It's very hard not to be very very lonely.

Yeah, but all I have to do is think of her and I'm happy.

Then I remember she's waaay off over there, *points* and then I'm sad again.

And then...you get the idea

I don't really find the distance as bad for me as the time difference. At least with Daylight Savings we're back to 6 hours difference. I get home from work and I'm ready to discuss and play and he's on his way to bed and falls asleep on me. When he calls and wants to talk I'm groggy from just waking up or I'm at work.

The most interesting thing is, we're really beyond talking now. We're at the point where we already know most of the stories and we'd rather spend hours laying around touching and not saying anything. That's the most frustrating part is trying to make your voice replace your hands for soothability.

*gets frustrated just thinking about it*

Justin, send a letter to her telling you to cal you collect from a payphone.When you send the letter, send something of yours that reminds her of you. Send it priority mail (about $4 i think). Tell her when to call you and make sure you are aveilable.

Krissy, get a web cam. You will have all new thrills with that.

LOL..and um...what would that do? Andy doesn't own a computer. I suppose I could make all sorts of new friends though. *wink wink nudge nudge* and I DO have a cam anyhow. It scares me. I've never hooked it up.

Hmm, see i've had a 'puter in one form or another since i was 8. It is just a little suprising sometimes when someone doesn't have a 'puter.

Never hooked it up, eh? Tell you what. You hook up the cam, i'll make the popcorn and pop on over to justin's place, picking up amanda and carrie on the way. Will hook up the satalite link for bubs and tree, and get the miami and north-easters on the cablemodem. What do you think?
