I've started writing Guide Entries again. I knocked one out last night, but I'm not quite sure I like it yet. I even have a short little list of stuff I'll tackle one of these days. Problem, of course with writing the things is that you write something up, then realize it desperately needs a cross-reference or ten to make it more sensible, which of course loops you into writing more and more and more--at least if you're a completist like me, although I am a startlingly lazy example of the type. Ho hum.

But isn't that kind of like doing work without getting paid for it, oh I forgot you don't work for the BBC

Actually, it's okay--at work I get paid for doing nothing, so it balances itself out.

Plus I accidentally overbought last time I went to the word store, so I've got all these extra consonants and vowels and nowhere to put them.

*enjoys picturing being able to yell CRAM AN A IN IT! and actually brandishing an uppercase "A"*

Actually when I went to the store I forgot to buy any punctuation so its really hard to write anything at all thats coherent or even sensible much less anything somebody would like or try to read for more than a few seconds because I dont have any punctuation at all Its really hard you know to write without any delineating markings to show where one thought ends and another begins Like this for example But I digress and Im not talking about anything at all The cat just decided to curl up on my lap and hes really cute I love my cat Hes dumb though Just a little puffball of fluff and gristle and a very tiny amount of brains just enough to let him know when hes hungry which seems to be all the time I dont mind telling you But hes good and hes very very sweet and lovable which has probably saved him from being chucked out the window more than once not that I would ever do that because its cruel and the time he accidentally got stuck in the stairwell for five or six hours because Carrie was moving out and failed to notice that he was in here We panicked and ran all over the neighborhood Amanda drove around actually and I walked all around our building and then I decided to check the front stairwell which I hadnt thought of because we never use it and he was sitting on one of the windowsills all curled up and he looked really scared Were really lucky that it wasnt really hot or really cold or wed have a cooked cat or a catsicle or something and thats really not good Hes still sitting here what a good kitty Oh look I just found a period and so I can stop now because you have to end sentences with them otherwise you just keep going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and cant stop.
