Another project to consider is whether there could be a music calendar here (like the more general h2g2 Calendar A3332233 which sometimes provides little comment entries for the h2g2 front page). Unfortunately, for many ancient composers and musicians their lives are measured in years at best rather than specific dates. However, better records do exist for at least the past century.
