In your cellar there are three light switches in the OFF position.
Each switch controls 1 of 3 light bulbs on floor above. You may move
any of the switches but you may only go upstairs to inspect the bulbs
one time. How can you determine the switch for each bulb with one
inspection??

Am I first? Am I first?
Answer:
Turn on first switch
Turn it off after a while
Turn on second switch
Go upstairs
Lighted bulb goes with second switch
Feel the other two bulbs.
The bulb that is still warm goes with first switch.
Cold bulb goes with third switch.

Holy Doughnuts! This is EXACTLY how I have been spending my free time lately -- trying to figure out which circuit breakers in the basement of my new house control which lights upstairs.
I could have answered it! If only I had internet access at home!
By the way, be careful when touching those bulbs. They get hot. Also, a loud radio helps, which leads to a second answer - buy some light-bulb-socket to electrical outlet adapters, plug loud radios into the bulb sockets, then play with the switches and listen for the radios to go on and off. It helps to have them tuned to different stations, say one classical, one rock, and one all-talk.
Half a point? Half a point? I'll bring back the doughnut!

Titania's answer is excellent.
But it only works if the 'warm bulb' and the 'lit bulb' are not burnt out.
How's the new house working out, d'Elaphant?
