I, being older than the revered DNA himself, fully expected to be the oldest researcher on the Guide's nonpayroll but I ain't: 57 yrs & 1 month is exceeded by at least one other. I'll just have to take good care of myself until I can gain fame by outliving the other old b*gg*rs.

I'm a little behind you at 53 and a bit.
Nice to know that the vitual world has some older than 25.

I detect a tiny regret about growing older.
I used to worry about it until someone pointed out that the alternative to growing old is dying young!!

Yep.
Seems a lot better when you realise you have a choice in the matter.
Even more fun if, as in my case, you live close enough to cycle to work and make it look as if it's no bother. Makes people half my age feel guilty when I say that we old folks have got to conserve fuel for our decendants.
