My idea of fun!
Gone again Started conversation Nov 7, 2004
On Thursday evening, the 'tummy-ache' I'd had for a week got worse and I called the doctor out. By midnight I was in hospital, and on Friday my appendix was removed. Now it's Sunday and I'm home again, feeling somewhat fragile. 
Still, I'll have plenty of time to play on h2g2 over the next few days!

hi P-c,
So glad you got the situation taken care of before the appendix burst! How are you feeling now?
Having had a serious op myself once (removal of my uterus) I was advised to expect that after I felt physically better there would be a bit of an emotional backlash. Because I expected it - and it wasn't huge or anything - it did help me realize this was also a part of the healing process.
Just thought I'd pass that on in case a week or so from now you feel a bit out of sorts emotionally.
