Hello this isn't a welcome.
I'm just here to let you know that the ACEs are a bunch of meet and greeters that will be sending someone to welcome you soon.
If you have a question in the time that it takes them to arrive I will be pleased to listen, nod and shrug my shoulders at any given time.
And I don't have ICQ so I understand if you never reply.

Hoi, I was just thinking that by replying to messages, and starting new messages, things can get really complicatedoin my message-page. Is there any way I can delete old messages off the page? (I checked the FAQ's. I didn't miss it, did I?)

No, you can't delete messages or journal entries as of yet. However, only the ones that have been replied to most recently will show up on your page. Don't worry, you will get the hang of it.

yes like Dan said the guide does a reasonable job of organising itself (still room for improvement in lengthy threads methinks...) but they have hinted at future possibilities of deleting journal entries. The guide is fairly organic and has changed several times since its initial build, so it's probably just a matter of time.
