Ahhh… so nice to find another connoisseur of the ubiquitous ramen noodle. I fondly remember my college days (not too long ago, mind you) when my parents, in their infinite generosity, would delight our dorm room with a case of "Cup-A-Noodles." The subtle flavor, so subtle that only the most well-trained palates could discern between the "shrimp" and "chicken" varieties. The 3 to 5 minutes of patient anticipation, while the noodles seeped in their boiling bath. The sweet slurping sounds of satisfied sippers…
It was everything in one – both a meal and a beverage, and sustained us in our studies for weeks on end. With the single burner stove we smuggled past the dorm guards, we were able to survive for days on end without emerging from our room.
A few years later, when I moved to Japan, I learned of the non-instant species of ramen, and the countless ways it could be prepared. Since then, I have lost my love for the hard little packets of dried pasta, but will occasionally imbibe for sheer reminiscence.
A pleasure to meet you.

Hello..
It’s a pleasure to meet you as well. Perhaps you could share some Ramen ideas with the rest of the Guide. I’m sure it would be a benefit to all.
