h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm new at this so if this sounds stupid then don't come back beause this is the stuff I think about and if you think that it's stupid then why did you read it this far. Okay, now I'm starting. If there were no gravity factor or inner core of melted stuff in the middle of earth and the earth was completely round, and you dug a whole straight down to whatever place is on the exact opposite side of the wrold as you and then you jumped into the hole, when you got to the place you dug to when you just end up staying in your hole unless you jumped in head first because it isn't possible to fall up and when you got to the other side of the world that's what would happen because your legs would fall up first. This didn't come out on paper like I wanted it to, but I can't think of any other way to write it out, but hopefully you'll get this the picture. This is the end of my first journal entry of my thoughts.

Me has often thought of things that when me try to explain my thinking to others it comes out wrong... ~grin~... me thinks you did really well... and me understood what you were talking about... ~bigger grin~

Hi Greebo! and Hi Amanda! Gosh, sorry I haven't been traveling in many of the same circles as you Greebo, I've been trying to cut down on my h2g2 so I might actually get something done IRL!! But it's nice to see you, and Amanda, I got here from your crazy sister's page. I hope that doesn't run in the family!

Anyway, if there WAS a tunnel through the center of the earth, I think that anything dropped in it would accelerate to the center of the earth then decelerate on the way to the other end, until it finally stopped at NEARLY the same height as it was dropped from. It would depend on the difference in elevations, and air resistance would be a factor. But that's just my hypothesis, I could be wrong! I'm under the influence of licit and illicit substances. Just Say NO!

Hello people out there, that are mmainly Greebo, Thank you for reading this and guess what?! I am going to be a guardian angel. I'm so happy.

I'm happy for you, and hi again Greebo! I'm just a little sad that there are so many angels now, that we don't all know one another. I don't think I can keep track of over 60 people at these sporatic intervals, I never know when I might not be online for a while. Oh well, maybe I'll catch you at an angel party.
