Shim, does that little fishy only work for you? Most entertaining. I suppose being on the 'inside' has its perks. I keep dropping unqualified praise everywhere, but I have to reiterate: Wow, wow and extra wow. Amazing.

You don't know me but....
Sorry to bother you on a technical matter, Shim. I've been a researcher for about five weeks now, but for the last two I have had to re-register about once every three visits. The message tells me I've changed browsers, but, if I have, it certainly isn't on purpose...
...any thoughts, or is my computer just playing silly buggers?
(Possibly helpful info: my browser is IE5, oh, and when it can't hook up to my ISP it often hangs and I have to control,alt, delete twice to get everything back....)

Hmmm.Sounds like your computer has serious problems.
My guess is that when your machine crashes, it corrupts your cookies in your IE5.
It's a pretty wild guess admittedly but it's a start.
I would concentrate on finding out why your machine is locking up. Call your ISP.
In the meantime - bookmark the address sent to you in your h2g2 registration email.
When you've stopped your computer crashing, let us know if you still have problems.
