h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Minnesota gets sticky from time to time. The "Land of 10,000 Lakes" thing is derived from the high water table. "Land of 20 Huge Wetlands" would be a more apt description.

Granted, it's not like Florida. I've been in Central Florida in the heat of summer, and the humidity was like a wet quilt, heated in the dryer and wrapped tightly around your head. I hear tell that Houston is like THREE quilts boiled.

But gosh-a-mighty, it's humid up here. Walking around the lake tonight was a bit of work. The temps aren't bad, at least.

We came home tonight, and found colored balls all down the alley. The house next door has a playpen modeled after the ball pits you find at kid's amusement centers. The neighborhood kids decided it would be fun to throw them EVERYWHERE. There were a few in our yard, and tons all down the alleyway. They must have been rolling them down the hill.

It was kinda pretty, though.
