I live in Ypsilanti (pronounced ip-see-lan-tee), Michigan. It's a cute little town between Detroit and Ann Arbor, very mid-western. I grew up in Maryland and other east coast locations, so it was a shock, but I've been here quite a long time now and gotten used to it. They have great parades here at the least provocation: There's one this weekend for "Heritage Festival". I can't wait.

I went to your site too. I've always liked New York: big, crowded exciting, plays and shows (and food. You know you can hardly get a decent bagel out here to save your life. And forget seafood. They have no idea.)

I used to have a g/f who came from Ann Arbor or thereabouts, so I'm sort of familiar with the Michigan thing, although I haven't spent much time there.
