h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I would like to volunteer to be a scout. I've had a little Peer Review experience and often comment and make suggestions on the other articles there, and I believe I'm improving on making my own articles more sub-editor friendly. No previous scouting experience, though. But I'm happy to learn.

This is excellent news! Thanks very much, I'd be delighted to have you on the team - you'll be a great addition. I hope your enthusiasm for writing is catching.

I'll arrange for the Scout badge to appear on your page - this will give you additional permissions - ie a little button which appears in the right hand pane of Entries in Peer Review when they are available for recommendation. It also allows you to see the Scout Recommendation page - so that you can see which of the other Scouts have been active, and which other Entries have already been picked.

I'll ask somebody to let you into the Guide Editorial volunteer forum on Noesis - although it is not much used.

I will also be sending you a reminder email - in a couple of weeks - to let you know which day you should make your selections ( we are hoping that this reminder system will be automated in the future )

In the meantime, if you take a look through the Scout volunteer pages, and give feedback to the other writers in Peer Review - this would be fantastic.
