Hi
This is Kaushik. My nick-name on h2g2 is Bengal Tiger.
I would hereby like to offer myself for the role of a scout in h2g2. I had been involved with a lot of creative writing. I had also been a part of the Editorial board of magazines and news-letters published in my school, college and also in my office now. I was also associated with ABP Pvt. Ltd., the leading publishing house in East-India.

Hi Kaushik
I suggest you do the following:
1. Get involved in Peer Review - comment on new entries and help researchers get their work fit to be picked for the Edited Guide.
2. Write an entry yourself and see it through the Peer Review process. When you've done it yourself, you'll be better able to help others.
When you've got yourself known in Peer Review, you'll be the sort of researcher that the Editors will consider for a volunteer position.
Hope this helps! Look forward to seeing you around h2g2.
Icy

Great stuff Bengal Tiger (sincere apologies for the long delay in replying to you - we missed this post by accident). We have noted your contributions to h2g2 and we are delighted!
I love the films of Satyajit Ray - the Apu trilogy is so beautiful.
Following on from Icy North's comments, do you feel ready to be Scout?
Great to meet you. I'm glad you are enjoying the world of h2g2!

Hi my name is EnergeticRobb978. I have no h2g2 nickname.
I think I will make a good scout as I am kind, I compliment and encourage and I am not rude.
That way I could make reviews to people without hurting their feelings and ruining their h2g2 experience. It happened to me on youtube and I don't want anyone to suffer what I suffered on youtube.

Great stuff, EnergeticRobb We manage the Scouts Group (and all the Volunteer Groups) offshore using Yahoo! Groups. So, using the email address you used to sign up to the BBC, we'll send you an invite to the Scouts' Group. We'll try you out for a month or so, see how you get on, and we'll take it from there. Once in, we'll introduce you to the other Scouts and set you a date, your monthly 'pick' date where you'll recommend two or three Entries from Peer Review which you think have been well-reviewed and are ready to go. Don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions later. First off, let's see if we can sign you up to the Scouts Group on Yahoo!

Thanks Guys. I managed to join OK. I just had to create a yahoo account. Do't worry though it's the same username as on here.
Thank you so very much.
