A Conversation for Volunteer to be a Scout

I've only been here about a month or so, but have so far had three of my guide entries recommended and would like to be able to do more. I've also done a fair bit of hanging around PR chucking in my twopennyworth, so was just hoping you might like to use my time more productively.....
What do you think?

Hi there! You say above that you've been hanging out in Peer Review and helping out, but when I look at the conversations on your page, the only PR ones I see are for your own entries. Have there been other PR threads you've been involved in but have unsubscribed from?

Yes, I enjoy reading other people's work regardless of the subject matter, and give feedback based on whether I can read and understand it if I don't know the subject. To be honest, I don't like a lot of conversations cluttering up my personal space as I tend to get distracted and forget what I'm doing . So I usually keep them there for a day or two and then wipe them off.
Want me to leave them there for the next week or so, so you can see what I say to people? Would be happy to put up with a messy PS for a bit if it helps you evaluate...

Well, if you're going to be a scout, it's usually pretty important to stay subscribed to threads you're helping out on. It's not so much a "stop, leave comments, leave" type situation as it is an interactive situation -- you leave comments, people respond -- sometimes they don't understand your comments, sometimes they make changes, but either way, it's really most helpful for you to stay engaged in the conversation.
Does this make sense?

Definately a logic there, Mikey! Just drop in on me now and then and see how I'm going and I won't unsubscribe from any PR threads unless they're utterly dead and buried.
Did I mention I corrected a factual error in "A History of the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy"? Was quite proud of that spot....
Thanks for the training BTW

How am I doing?
I've deliberately made sure I'm not posting more often than usual, not picking things to feedback on to impress with and so on. One question - how do I put a link to the Writing Guidelines if an entry blatantly doesn't fit them?
Thanks again

It may take a little while, don't worry.
While you wait, how about getting that work done on your entry currently in PR, Bingo Calling for Beginners?
