Hello, welcome to h2g2! I must admit I find the concept intriguing, what if you could simply think and the words inside my head directly became text? True, the fact that it would be faster than texting is nothing new – it is possible to send Morse code messages faster than using a smartphone after all. There are always developments that make this more and more likely, I saw something on the news the other day that measured how brain activity spikes when driving before a decision is made to take action, such as to brake or turn a corner, so an experiment was made to monitor brain activity when driving in a simulator to develop a programme that would predict what action was about to be taken by the driver based on the environment.

The one question I have, though, is what is the relevance of the link? The trouble is suspicious people like me who see one link in the middle of an entry often wonder whether the whole entry has been created for Search Engine Optimisation purposes. Particularly if they person who wrote it only posts this one thing and then vanished without a trace.

Also you say 'manager or coo'. What is a 'coo' other than a noise a bird makes?smiley - peacedove
I must say the idea of having constant contact from a manager who only has to think and they'd be able to send messages directly to you is frankly worrying – it seems to assume that you are working with managers who are at least competent at best rather than egocentric sociopaths. And how would you control what you do and don't send? If you're wearing one and think for a second 'have they got some food stuck in their teeth?' would that be sent out as a message?

It doesn't sound like it would provide the same joyous tactile experience as a fine-nibbed fountain pen on a nice, crisp sheet of paper.smiley - biro

Well said Bluebottle

"I must say the idea of having constant contact from a manager who only has to think and they'd be able to send messages directly to you is frankly worrying "

Yes indeed - I wouldn't want to come any closer than I already did to that (messages sent at 3am are seldom helpful at the best of times...)

No indeed smiley - birosmiley - biggrin

Sometimes, it seems as if internet communication is headed this way, which is the worst outcome I could imagine. Earth might become like Kakrafoon:

'The Belcerebon people of Kakrafoon used to cause great resentment and insecurity among neighboring races by being one of the most enlightened, accomplished and, above all, quiet civilizations in the Galaxy. As a punishment for this behavior, which was held to be offensively righteous and provocative, a Galactic Tribunal inflicted on them the most cruel of all social diseases, telepathy.

Consequently, in order to prevent themselves broadcasting every slightest thought that crossed their minds to anyone within a five mile radius, they now had to talk very loudly and continuously about the weather, their little aches and pains, the match this afternoon and what a noisy place Kakrafoon had suddenly become.'

Douglas Adams, 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'

Don't make us broadcast Disaster Area concerts.

This entry does appear to be identical to this:
http://freecodesmarket.com/why-brain-to-text-technology-is-the-future-of-communication

So while I thought the entry was potentially a good talking point, I'd like to propose Back to Entry (unless the author returns to make changes enough to ensure its uniqueness and delete the link which does not appear to relate to the topic being discussed.) Anyone agree?

You can call me TC

I agree - the person seems to have just uploaded the entry and not done anything else at all. They probably won't be back to do any tweaks or reply to comments.

The writer wrote an excellent post with a complete knowledge guide. After reading the complete article, I assume that admin has much knowledge about the topic. I'm here to explore my experience when I was traveling to some unknown places. Found AZipCode is useful when I need to find my zip code and current location address as an address finder.
