Hi there sandglass, and welcome to Peer Review.

You've done a pretty good job summarising this game, and I should think the main reason you haven't had any comments on your entry yet is because it is about a specific interest.

Sounds like a great game, where might I be able to find the cards?

It does sound a fun game, and well summarised. I wonder what is the smallest number of players needed to play this game properly? I know you said 'up to 20' but not the lowest number.

Oh and welcome to h2g2 and Peer Review by the way smiley - smiley

"as soon as i found out how to do it i will upload a picture of the game"

I'm afraid you can't add your own pictures on h2g2, but you can of course upload one to a picture website and then post a link here so that reviewers can see it. smiley - ok

Hi,

You described the game so well, I'd really want to play it now after having read your article smiley - biggrin. It's not easy to understand the rules of a game simply by reading how it is played and without having someone tell you what to do when; but I think you did extremely well in explaining the course of the game.

I'm slightly concerned about copyright here, too.

"The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow" (original title: Les Loups garous de Thiercelieux) is a game designed and written by by Philippe des Pallieres and Herve Marty, not just a "traditional" one. Presumably, they (or the companies publishing them in various countries, like Asmondee and Lui-même) own the rights not just to the cards but to the concept/instructions.

Since this Entry tells us all we need to know to play the game (but doesn't say anything about the history of the game and so on) I'm not sure we can publish it - especially not when it recommends making your own cards, thus basically pirating the game.smiley - erm

It *is* a variant of the Mafia/Werewolf/Assassin genre, but that doesn't change the fact that this is basically copyrighted material even when re-told. Perhaps an Entry on that wider genre might be more appropriate. smiley - ok

No replies here, either. I'll put it on the list.

But my above concern still stands, that this is close to copyright infringement... smiley - erm

Perhaps you should email the Eds and ask. Otherwise this is ripe for moving to the Flea Market smiley - ok

I've mentioned it in the e-mail list. This could make a good entry about that genre with some specific examples from various games, though smiley - ok
