Great! Credit to you and the original author. It reads just like a quirky 'you must go and do this' type of holiday guide review. It's a style I like, so it gets my vote!!

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

"Here's some handy hints on getting around"
'Here are some handy hints for getting around'
'Here's' is short for 'here is', and quite clearly, 'Here is some handy hints on getting around' is bad grammar smiley - winkeye

I think an explanatory footnote for the term 'Honkers' would add something to the entry.

"Although you can't go two feet"
Since two feet is both a unit of measurement and what most of us to get around, a different distance might be good for that sentence.

"The giant Buddha statue on Lantau Island is a ferry ride and a bus journey away, but it is a staggering sight"
The word 'but' could infer that the statue wouldn't be such a staggering sight if it wasn't for the journey. I think 'and is a staggering sight' would work better.

"The ancient Man Mo temple on Hollywood Road, Hong Kong Island, and even though it nestles neatly between hundred-storey blocks of flats, has a calming ambience'
That sentence doesn't work. I think you need to remove the 'and'.

"However, the charm of visiting Hong Kong"
The word 'however' never really works as the opener for a paragraph. How about something like 'Although landmarks such as these should be on every visitor's itinerary, the real charm of Hong Kong...'?

"Hong Kong also really lets its hair down"
No need for 'also' because you're not really adding anything to anything else in that context. I think that paragraph would sit much better in the 'When to Visit' section too.

"Late summer or early spring in Asia", "Autumn is less humid", "Winter is supposed to be cooler"
What months would those be for those of us not familiar with the Hong Kong seasons?

Actually, there's a point - you can't walk to Hong Kong, so how'd you get there? (And is the airport really made of cake mix? smiley - cake)

Your first footnote is misleading.
Taxis come in different colours to indicate their area of service:
Red taxis operate in most of Hong Kong, except for Tung Chung Road and the south side of Lantau Island;
Green taxis serve the rural areas of the New Territories; and
Blue taxis operate on Lantau Island.
All colours go the rather splendid new(ish) airport.
Flagfall is the equivalent of just over a British pound (HK$15)

Yep - http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/mustknow/information/mk_info_gett3.jhtml agrees with those details. More research says that:

The system is to avoid every taxi driver trying to get better fares by working in the suburban (red) area. Drivers may not know the whole of their area and may therefore refuse to serve some destinations. Different coloured taxis have different taxi ranks. Red are most expensive, then green, then blue.

There's so much info about taxis that they probably deserve a separate entry. For instance. A taxi driver from HK island who does not know the Kowloon side well will take you to near the tunnel entrance where you can change to one who does.
Some taxis charge a single tunnel toll and some a double, depending on whether they are going back home or not.
Apart from being flaggable almost everywhere, you can ring for one, which will (unlike almost everywhere else) work out cheaper.
I'm not suggesting you use any of this, except the colours.
Public transport is incredibly cheap - you don't mention the rickety old toastrack trams.
Local phone calls are free, so the university where I work supplies us all with computers and unlimited internet access.
All personal care is cheap (even cheaper over the border in Shenzhen where a really good haircut including half an hour's amssage costs HK $30 (fractionally over two pounds)
So everyone who can afford it should take the advice in this article and come and visit. smiley - starsmiley - star

smiley - wow Thanks guys! Um, Ive just removed the footnote regarding the taxis, because I tend to agree with Wandrin' Star that the Honkers taxis probably deserve an Entry of their own - go on Wandrin' you know you want to smiley - winkeye

Looking good now smiley - ok
This seems more or less complete - anything else you could add would probably come under an entry on Hong Kong itself as opposed to Tips for Visiting. Just one thing:
