I've added a section on extraordinary Elvis impersonators. I couldn't add any pictures of "Extreme Elvis"
I got quite a shock when I loaded his website, he appears to have upset someone high up.

Loving this, Annie!
Minor bits:
"Sillerman runs the Presley family home Graceland Mansion in Memphis; owns the rights to his photographs; receives royalties from recordings; and revenue from sales of merchandise, CD's and films." I'd use commas here, I think. And CD's - CDs
"There will be crying in the chapel if such services will no longer be able to be provided." reads a tad awkwardly, Annie. Would it sound better as : There will be crying in the chapel if these popular services are no longer available. (?) or something like that...
Who were the h2g2 researchers? Could you link to them?
Other bits:
Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE) FAQ page replies on exclusivity http://www.elvis.com/elvisology/faq/faq.asp?qid=30 I don't know when the last update was, though
You don't mention the americanism 'elvisology' This business is taken very seriously after all and there are courses on offer to hone the skills of the more zealous
Being an elvis impersonator can do more for your career than an MBA, it appears... Fancy being Japanese PM? http://www.guardian.co.uk/japan/story/0,7369,1081634,00.html
Websites abound... http://q.webring.com/hub?ring=eltribute as do training books http://aolsearch.aol.co.uk/web?query=book+learn+how+impersonate+elvis+&isinit=true&restrict=wholeweb and probably courses but unlike the lofty hamburger, Elvis does not yet have a university dedicated to study of his contributions to the world.
My tongue has spasmed from spending so much time in my cheek...

I'll invite the Researcher over, I'm sure I won't be allowed to link to them but I will if they give permission and the Eds allow it.

I'm all shook up after reading this, GB.
I'll keep it short - a little less conversation and all that. Well I just can't help believing you've got this one spot on, as usual.
"Elvii"? Surely it's third declension, "Elves"

I got "Elvii" from several places: http://www.boingboing.net/2005/04/08/a_gathering_of_elvii.html
and it seemed to fit

It was myself and my lovely bride SLG who had Elvis at our Vegas wedding. Though to be strictly accurate he did not officiate, but he did act in place of SLG's dad in giving her away and he then did sing several songs, ending of course with a rousing version of 'Viva Las Vegas'. He was also the main meeter and greeter for the Chapel and did a wonderful job of making a production line ceremony seem really special and individual for *us*.
That was at the Gracelands Chapel http://www.gracelandchapel.com/index.html and they certainly still seem to do Elvis packages - there are certainly some chapels that have ministers who are Elvis impersonators themselves, so a little difficult to see how that could be stopped.
In any event, I'm more than happy to be associated with a piece I found fun and informative, so if the eds will let you, feel free!
(I'd also recommend another movie Elvis, the wonderful Bruce Campbell in Bubba Ho-Tep in which Elvis and JFK (now both living in a retirement home in the deep south) get to take on an Egyptian mummy.
And without wanting to be cheeky, EL Vez, the Mexican Los Angelino Elvis impersonator is a scream...http://www.elvez.net/

Oh, I forgot to mention that if you hire the limo from Gracelands, you get an Elvis impersonator as a chaffeur.
Jeff is a huge guy and was met with the immortal words from SLG 'My, you're a very tall lvis'...

Great stuff, GB!
Just a quickie - it's really handy for the sub-editor, if you use external links, to add a title tag to them. At the moment, your link in the sentence:
'It is not essential to look like Elvis to be an Elvis impersonator'
appears under 'Referenced Sites' as just 'Elvis', as the text in that part of the page is simply the text you have between the link tags. You can make this look a lot friendlier by changing the link from:
It is not essential to look like Elvis to be an Elvis impersonator
to:
It is not essential to look like Elvis to be an Elvis impersonator
It just looks a lot nicer, and saves the sub a lot of work following links if there are a lot of them. There's no compulsion to so this, of course, but it will make your sub very happy if you have a lot of external links. It also makes links to things like the female Elvis more obvious and friendlier.
