It's small and compact, but so is the village! Comments welcome

it's lovely
but I'd change this sentence:
>> There is a very useful Co-op Store in the village which stays open late if you find yourself caught short and in need of essentials.<<
the shop doesn't stay open if you have run short (well, unless it actually does, that is) so I'd change it to something like:
There is a very useful Co-op stoe in the village which is useful if you find yourself caught short and in need of essentials, as it stays open late.

Hello MJ, back with a few things now. I know it's from Flea market, so you might not be able to provide the answers, but I'll ask nevertheless
Bed & Breakfast's and hotel accomodation. - Bed & Breakfasts ?
Born in the village c.662, Saint Rumbold lived only three days, but in that time he said several times "I am a Christian.", expressed his faith in the Holy Trinity, asked for Baptism and Holy Communion, preached on the Holy Trinity and the need for a virtuous life, quoted scripture and recited the Athanasian Creed. Pilgramages to his birthplace continued for many years, King's Sutton thriving on the travellers business.
Several things here:
c.662 - when exactly was that ? 662 BC or 662 AD ?
Saint Rumbold lived only three days - three decades rather ? Three days would make him a baby - how could he possily have done any of the things mentioned ?
King's Sutton thriving on the travellers business. -King's Sutton was thriving... ? making King's Sutton thrive... ?
are the old village stocks ... I think I gather the idea, but maybe a footnote explaining the stock and its usage would be good ?
It is also the base for a weekly doctors surgery. - doctor's surgery or doctors' surgery, depends on whether it's singular or plural.
Does it mean King's Sutton does neither have a hospital nor a doctor, and a doctor or two from abroad come once a week to do some surgery ?

Bel - I'll address all those issues.
And Saint Rumbold did only libe three days and do all those things - that's why he was canonised!

<bigeyes< I always knew that people were superstitious and believed in myths and legends, but a myth like that ? Hard to believe, really.

I'd love to know the true about how the story first started!

Hmmmmm discover the truth about a saint huh?
So you want me to dive in and investigate a centuries old vatican dogma and then expose the roman catholic church as a fraud...
You do know I'll end up with a dead museum curator and then have albino priests and masonic coppers and chasing me all over Paris! No wait a minute, actually I think thats the plot of a book I once read!

There's probably a reasonably decent film script in there too if you're lucky! When you're rich and famous, remember us little people yeah

I don't think so, because Robert Langdon didn't go to Vatican City ut then i don't think that Paris is included in this walk, either

Well I'm rading Kathy Reichs first book at the moment, Deja Dead. She's the author who inspired the newish TV series 'Bones'. Rather good read so far
