Sho - employed again!

it's lovely smiley - ok
but I'd change this sentence:

>> There is a very useful Co-op Store in the village which stays open late if you find yourself caught short and in need of essentials.<<

the shop doesn't stay open if you have run short smiley - winkeye (well, unless it actually does, that is) so I'd change it to something like:

There is a very useful Co-op stoe in the village which is useful if you find yourself caught short and in need of essentials, as it stays open late.

Hello MJ, back with a few things now. I know it's from Flea market, so you might not be able to provide the answers, but I'll ask nevertheless smiley - biggrin

smiley - star Bed & Breakfast's and hotel accomodation. - Bed & Breakfasts ?

smiley - star Born in the village c.662, Saint Rumbold lived only three days, but in that time he said several times "I am a Christian.", expressed his faith in the Holy Trinity, asked for Baptism and Holy Communion, preached on the Holy Trinity and the need for a virtuous life, quoted scripture and recited the Athanasian Creed. Pilgramages to his birthplace continued for many years, King's Sutton thriving on the travellers business.
Several things here:
smiley - star c.662 - when exactly was that ? 662 BC or 662 AD ?

smiley - star Saint Rumbold lived only three days - three decades rather ? Three days would make him a baby - how could he possily have done any of the things mentioned ?

smiley - star King's Sutton thriving on the travellers business. -King's Sutton was thriving... ? making King's Sutton thrive... ?

smiley - star are the old village stocks ... I think I gather the idea, but maybe a footnote explaining the stock and its usage would be good ?

smiley - star It is also the base for a weekly doctors surgery. - doctor's surgery or doctors' surgery, depends on whether it's singular or plural.
Does it mean King's Sutton does neither have a hospital nor a doctor, and a doctor or two from abroad come once a week to do some surgery ?

smiley - cheers

Bel

Hmmmmm discover the truth about a saint huh?

So you want me to dive in and investigate a centuries old vatican dogma and then expose the roman catholic church as a fraud...smiley - erm

You do know I'll end up with a dead museum curator and then have albino priests and masonic coppers and chasing me all over Paris! No wait a minute, actually I think thats the plot of a book I once read! smiley - biggrin
